Hinamatsuri Brings Spring to Michigan – Japan News Club
Our owner appeared in an article in Japan News Club newspaper, a monthly Japanese language newspaper that covers Japanese community news in the Metro Detroit Area.
Traeonna was briefly interviewed and photographed during an ichigo daifuku (いちご大福) making workshop at Hinamatsuri on April 5, 2023 at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Ichigo daifuku is a popular traditional Japanese sweet (wagashi); it is a soft and chewy mochi stuffed with a fresh whole strawberry covered in sweet red bean paste.
