This female-tailored awase (lined) edo komon kimono with hiro-eri (wide unfolded collar) is orange with light orange patterns of kiku (chrysanthemum) and karakusa (winding plant/arabesque).

A unique feature is that the sleeve lining is bright red, which is different than the rest of the lining.

Edo komon is a traditional Japanese hand-dyeing technique, originally developed and worn during Muromachi and Edo Period (around 15th to 17th century). It is characterized by thousands of tiny dots that cannot be seen from a distance and looks solid in color.
