Beginner Kitsuke Lesson Series
A beginner series of private, one-on-one lessons that begin with donning undergarments and progressing to wearing kimono with a variety of accessories. Each lesson focuses on a specific aspect of dressing and builds upon skills from the previous lesson.
- $155 for four (4) 1-hour sessions.
- Note: Scheduled twice weekly, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly and cannot be scheduled together on the same day or multiple hours per day. This is an introductory series of lessons and can be booked only once. Future lessons are booked as private kimono dressing lessons.
- Private lessons can be booked as semi-private (2-student) lessons for an additional fee.

Kimono Dressing Lesson
Learn the art of wearing kimono in this private, one-on-one kimono dressing lesson that is focused on you and your unique needs.
- How to put on a juban.

- $40/hour, 1 hour minimum, 2 hours maximum.

Yukata Dressing Lesson
Learn how to wear the casual kimono that is perfect for casual summer events or around the home in this private, one-on-one lesson.
- How to wear yukata.
- How to tie an obi.
- hanhaba obi (with female-tailored yukata)
- kaku obi (with male-tailored yukata)
- $35/hour, 1 hour minimum, 2 hours maximum.

Obi Tying Lesson
Learn how to tie your choice of a fukuro, nagoya, hanhaba, heko, or kaku obi in this private, one-on-one obi musubi lesson.
- $30/hour, 1 hour minimum, 2 hours maximum.
- 1/2 hour minimum/musubi for hanhaba, heko, or kaku obi.
- 1 hour minimum/musubi for fukuro or nagoya.
- In-person or Remote options are available.

Hakama Dressing Lesson
Learn how to wear your choice of andon or umanori hakama in this private, one-on-one hakama dressing lesson.

Group Kimono Dressing Lesson
A group kimono dressing lesson with up to 8 individuals.
- How to wear juban and kimono.
- How to tie an obi.

- kaku obi (with male-tailored kimono)
- $35/hour/person
- 1-4 people 1 hour minimum, 2.5 hours maximum*.
- 5-8 people 2 hour minimum, 3 hours maximum*.
- *Nagoya obi requires an additional $12.50/person for an additional 1/2 hour minimum.

Group Yukata Dressing Lesson
A group kimono dressing lesson with up to 8 individuals.
- How to wear a yukata.

Group Obi Tying Lesson
A group obi musubi tying lesson with up to 8 individuals.
- Learn how to tie a fukuro, nagoya, hanhaba, heko, or kaku obi.
- $25/hour/person, 1 hour minimum, 2.5 hours maximum.
- 1/2 hour minimum/musubi for hanhaba, heko, or kaku obi.
- 1 hour minimum/musubi for fukuro or nagoya.

Seminar
A private, one-on-one remote lesson focused on you and your unique needs.
This seminar combines structured instruction with interactive discussion, including a question-and-answer session.
Gain a foundational understanding of kimono fashion, including topics such as different types of kimono, obi, and accessories, formality guidelines including TPO (time/place/occasion), tailoring styles, seasonal considerations, how body measurements relate to kimono size, authentic vs. inauthentic pieces, the nuances of freestyle and fusion styles, and much more.
- $30/hour, 1 hour minimum, 2 hours maximum.
