Internship – Social Media and Marketing
Required Skills/Qualities:
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Experience with Google products (specifically Drive, Sheets, Docs).
- Experience in social media platforms (specifically Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Can adapt to change and solve problems.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and communicate proactively.
Preferred Skills/Qualities:
- Experience with (or willing to learn) Buffer social media scheduling platform.
- Experience with (or willing to learn) MailerLite email scheduling platform.
- Experience with (or willing to learn) Canva.
- Experience with (or willing to learn) WordPress (including Elementor and WooCommerce).
- Excellent social listening skills.
- Basic understanding of organic marketing methods and partnership marketing.
- Experience with content and website SEO optimization.
- Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills.
- Energetic, charismatic, and creative individual with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Passionate about fashion and knowledgeable (or eager to learn) about kimono and kimono styling.
- Knowledgeable in fashion content (style blogs, magazines, social media, etc.).
- Completed or pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related major, or equivalent experience in content creation, fashion, or digital marketing.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English (Japanese language, Chinese language, and/or American Sign Language skills are an advantage).
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of social media accounts in a timely and brand-consistent manner.
- Monitor social media platforms and ensure all replies are liked and replied to.
- Create written and visual content for social media and blog posts.
- Assist in writing compelling copy across all marketing channels, including website copy, email campaigns, blog posts, video scripts, digital and print ads, and packaging.
- Understand the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
- Assist with marketing campaigns (social media, newsletter, etc.).
- Assist in the development of social media marketing plans and programs.
- Assist in increasing brand awareness throughout the community.
- Analyze analytics to gauge the success of campaigns.
- Provide suggestions to the owner for improving customer experience on social platforms and internal processes.

- If academic credit is desired, the intern must facilitate an introduction between Kimono Kitsune’s owner and their academic advisor.
- Any scheduling conflicts should be communicated by the intern.
- Interns are expected to maintain confidentiality regarding company information and internal processes.
- Any content or materials created during the internship will remain the intellectual property of Kimono Kitsune.
- This internship is unpaid, with no expectation of financial compensation.
- There is no entitlement to a paid position at the conclusion of the internship.
